Using Search Engines

Let's say that you are sitting down to work on a report or an essay and you would like to use the World Wide Web as a library. One of the easiest things you can do is search for related key words in some of the most popular Search Engines.

What you will find is that certain search engines are best for certain types of searches. As you use the different search engines you will determine which ones you prefer for particular situations. For example, some search engines are better for focused searches, some are better for broad searches, some are better at putting things into categories, some are better at finding related information, and so on. As you play with them you will learn which ones are best for the type of searches you are performing.
